Garlic Spray

Basic Concept

Garlic Spray deals a random damage between 25 and 50 bloodpoints, making it ideal for medium sized vampires in the price/damage ratio. Additionally, two can be used simultaneously by a vampire with Shadows(3). Garlic Spray counts as an attack.

You need 150? blood to use Garlic Spray.

(Note: There was a time when Garlic Spray could only be bought in potion shops, making it the only item not available in magic shops. This has since been remedied.)

Power Effects

Shadows(3) allows the wielder to use two Garlic Sprays at the same time, which doubles the damage, of course.

Average damage

Because of the randomness, Garlic Spray is generally not very predictable, but over time your damage is most likely to approach the value 37.5 BP per Garlic Spray (75 per two).

As such, it's quite easy to determine when it's best to switch from Holy Water attacks to Garlic Spray:

1. At the threshold of 2 155 to 2 154 blood, Holy Water begins to do less damage than the maximum usefulness of two Garlic Sprays (100 BP).
2. At the threshold of 1 334 to 1 333 blood, Holy Water begins to do less damage than the average usefulness of two Garlic Sprays (75 BP). This is the ideal threshold for warring clans to switch to Garlic Spray, unless they've not powered their members to the point of Shadows(3).
3. At the threshold of 679 to 678 blood, Holy Water begins to do less damage than the minimum usefulness of two Garlic Sprays, or maximum usefulness of one Garlic Spray (50 BP). This is where luck-paranoid people switch to Garlic Spray.
4. At the threshold of 422 to 421 blood, Holy Water begins to do less damage than the average usefulness of one Garlic Spray. Which begs the question: Why are you still reading this?
5. At the threshold of 214 to 213 blood, Holy Water begins to do less damage than the minimum usefulness of one Garlic Spray.

Nutshelled: Once a vampire drops to or below 1333 blood, doubleshot GS is the way to tango. The price is entirely comparable, too, since two Garlic Sprays cost as much as one Holy Water.
