Gifts

First item(s) implemented: 1 May 2004

Basic Concept

Gifts are items with no further purpose in the game itself, though you can give them to your fellow vampires (unlike every other item) as a, well, gift - or as a nasty calling card if you'd rather, depending what item you choose to leave them.

Magic Shops

These items are available at magic shops, not at potion-only or scroll-only shops (except for the Silver Apothecary). Charisma affects these items normally.

To avoid clutter, only base prices are listed.

Perfect Dandelion, 50 coins
A dandelion in good condition, bright clean yellows and whites.

Perfect Red Rose, 500 coins
A beautiful long-stemmed red rose, fresh and undamaged.

Perfect Black Orchid, 1 000 coins
A deep black orchid, flawless, with beautiful soft purple stamen.

Diamond Ring, 100 000 coins
A flawless diamond is set amongst a number of smaller diamonds, light reflecting through the facets into sparkling rainbows. The arrangement is itself set into a simple unassuming gold band.

The flowers wilt over time, description and name changing in phases (first dropping the 'Perfect', then becoming 'Wilted'), making them attractive as warfare calling cards when they've lost their sheen, or as part of time-critical clan-internal quests. A Dandelion wilts roughly within twenty-four hours, a Red Rose lasts a few days, and an Orchid a week.?

Another 'quest'-like benefit of the flowers is that, unlike the Diamond Ring, which is also sold at the Cloister of Secrets, they are the only items you can only get from moving shops, meaning it may take some skill to acquire them.

Wilted flowers are worth less at the pawn shop than 50% their base price - the degree of wilting factors into the pawn price.

Cloister of Secrets

The Cloister of Secrets is stationary at Gloom and 1st. One's level of Charisma does not lower the prices here.

A gold chain necklace with a heart-shaped locket.

Flask of Heinous Deceptions, 77 000 coins
A replica of an ancient artifact. This replica is made out of stainless steel with high-polish finish. Like the original, it has kanji-like sigils carved all over it. It is rumoured that the original contained an elixir of sorts. The replica is empty.

Amulet of Insidious Illusions, 88 000 coins
A replica of a very ornate heirloom made out of mysterious metals and gems, forged and crafted by those who dwell within the Cloister of Secrets. And it is just a replica.

A 6mm wide 24k gold ring with multiple millgrain grooves and frosted finish centre.

Diamond Ring, 110 000 coins
A flawless diamond is set amongst a number of smaller diamonds, light reflecting through the facets into sparkling rainbows. The arrangement is itself set into a simple unassuming gold band.

Titanium-platinum ring, 110 000 coins
