| | Anyone with a bit of sense knows that Polyhymnia is the center of the city, even if Melpomene is the geographical center. The entire area is flowing with vampires, whether it be fresh hatchling newly turned, or old venerated elders of long history and reach. The wise know not to rest here for very long. Numerous pickpockets quietly relive vampires of excess...baggage.
The building itself is perhaps too elaborate for its use: a Grecian temple, of pillars and marble stairs leads into the lavish interior. It is a holdover from the ancient days when travelling in such a fashion was the height of civility. Benches of oak and velvet line the ways, as dim light filters through the cathedral-style windows to splatter against the worn floor. Countless footsteps have changed the bright mosaic into a dull brown, save in corners of the main hall. There is a constant draft; the air never seems to settle down, even with the multitude inside. Below the main hall, accessible by stairwell and elevator lies the tracks, tucked out of sight. These are a testament to the bustle of this station; no amount of work will ever clean these stones again.
It is a place known to many, home to few. The station has seen the passing of many a vampire, and will stand to see their childer come.
