Erato Station is well hidden underneath a Transit office building, connected to the Monolith Heliport both via skyway bridges and a connecting underground tunnel. After passing through strategically set ticket counters and turnstyles, it obviously consists of a single cavernous room containing eight tracks set up in four sets of two side-by-side, the five platforms are connected by wide concrete bridges that go over the trains at the station.

Having been built at around the same time, the station shares the geometric Art Deco simplicity of the heliport, cylindrical support columns capped and standing upon simple cones; semicircular arched bridges and tunnels that lead to the greater transit system. Its concrete floor is stained with the memories of various accidents of varying degrees of intent; the once white tiles are now a jaundiced yellow with grime and age. The details of the vaulted ceilings are lost in soot and the glare from harsh incandescent lighting from hanging strips.

Its only saving virtue is that it is essentially clean. People either come or go; they do not stay long enough to mark it or leave more detridus than can be easily removed. Maybe this essential movement is because it is an integral part of the transit system, shifting travelers who have better places to be than the dregs of the city.

More likely than that is that people simply pass through because its dark, foreboding atmosphere simply isn't conducive to longer stays. No one knows what may lurk in the many dark corners or mysterious shadows, after all...
