From the dingy streets intersecting at Willow and 35th, large stone turrets with black shingles can be seen rising in the distance, kept securely locked behind tall ivy-covered stone walls and ornate wrought iron gates. The home of Katastrophe and Arias Talon is not easily accessed from the outside without prior invitation from the loving couple. Despite limited access, many come simply to behold its beauty and grandeur. The building is formidable in its astonishing appearance, even when viewed from the distance of the black gates.
A bronze plaque is attached to the stone wall next to the gate, reading: "Talon Castle, est. 2009" Much smaller print on the plaque explains that the old three-story castle was a lucky find of Katastrophe's, and purchased for her husband as a gift and given as a token of her love for him.
Beyond the gates, a still gazing pool with walkways flanking either side lead up to the castle's main entrance. Shrubbery and trees sculpted in the shapes of mythical creatures seemingly dance around the perimeter. What lies behind the castle walls is a closely guarded secret and known only to those who frequent its magnificence. |
